Role Overview

We’re building our marketing and communications function from the ground up. As our first marketing hire and leader, you’ll define and execute our brand strategy, create meaningful content that resonates with parents and students, and build digital channels that consistently bring in qualified leads. This is a rare opportunity to shape the marketing DNA of a premium education brand. You’ll have autonomy, direct access to leadership, and the chance to build a high-performing team as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP
  • Define and own the overall marketing and communications strategy aligned with business goals
  • Build EDUCIS as a trusted thought leader in global admissions and career guidance
  • Develop brand positioning that differentiates us in a competitive market
  • Set KPIs, track performance, and continuously optimize based on data
BRAND BUILDING
  • Establish brand voice, visual identity, and messaging frameworks
  • Position our founders and mentors as experts through thought leadership
  • Manage PR relationships with education media (Economic Times, HT Education, etc.)
  • Develop strategic partnerships with schools, educational organizations, and complementary brands
CONTENT & COMMUNICATION
  • Oversee content strategy across blog, social media, email, webinars, and events
  • Create compelling student success stories and case studies that showcase impact
  • Ensure all communications reflect premium positioning and authentic student outcomes
  • Manage external agencies and freelancers for specialized content needs
DIGITAL LEAD GENERATION
  • Build and optimize digital acquisition funnels (paid search, social, content, email)
  • Implement marketing automation and CRM systems to nurture leads effectively
  • Monitor lead quality metrics and work closely with admissions team on conversions
  • Manage marketing budget and ensure strong ROI on all channels
TEAM BUILDING
  • Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team as the organization scales
  • Establish processes, workflows, and best practices for the marketing function
  • Foster a culture of creativity, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For – Essential

  • 5-7 years of marketing experience, preferably in education, EdTech, or premium consumer services
  • Proven track record building brands and driving measurable growth in digital channels
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for storytelling
  • Experience managing teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to track, analyze, and optimize performance
  • Comfort working in early-stage, high-growth environments with limited resources

What We’re Looking For – Preferred

  • Experience marketing to affluent Indian families or in the premium education sector
  • Understanding of the global university admissions landscape
  • Background in B2C marketing with complex buyer journeys
  • Existing relationships with education media and influencers
  • MBA or equivalent from a top institution
